My favorite part of the year, always passes by so quickly. Between Fall sports, beginning of Christmas play practice and two birthdays, October flies by but I always make time for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. It is always a fun family event. I dress everyone in orange so we can get a picture with the autumn leaves(I'm sure that will make a good laugh at family dinners whe the kids are older). This year we started with the petting zoo but only Ilana and Izzy were interested in the animals this year. The other kids think they "stink" (as in smells bad). Then we waited in a too long line for a short pony ride.Peter and his pony
Patrick and his pony
Izzy and her pony
Ilana and her pony, of course Mommy had to walk along
Ella looking like an expert
After the pony rides, we took the family picture, didn't it turn out well? It brought out the kids true personalities, don't you think??
All right here is a better picture:
Then we went in a tractor ride to pick the perfect pumpkins.
The girls decided to each pick one small pumpkin.
While the boys picked one big one together
A good time was had by all. Of course Peyton spent most of the time in his carrier, which is why there aren't many pictures of him. Next year he'll be able to participte. We did buy him a new toy that day. We found this jumperoo at Once Upon a Child. It matches his swing and playmat and was a third of the price for a new one. He loves it!!
