It was only a little over a year ago the my wife and I found ourselves on our way back from Africa, Ethiopia to be more specific, with our new son Eyob Kevin Whartenby. At that point in time our family dynamic had changed from 3 daughters and 1 son to 3 daughters and 2 sons. We thought at that point in time our family was in a word completed. Well in a word we were wrong. I have heard more than one pastor say how God laughs at people who say that they have everything planned out. Well last fall we found out how true that is when Toni became pregnant with our 6th child. So unlike many of the "reality shows" on large families who grew to large sizes based on births of multiple...we got our six the hard way.
While for the first 9 years of our marriage our family grew in size every two and a half years apparently God thought it was time to speed up our timeline!
